It is hard to find Mince Meat now not sure why other than young adults today have no idea what it is and think its gross. I grew up with mince meat pies and pastries that mom would make for the holidays, and I have carried on that tradition when I can find the mince meat to do so. I remember the days when mom would make her own mince meat and used Venison Suet. Yum.

I ordered 1 jar and added a cut up apple with no added sugar into a small pie pan, about 7 inches and it made a delicious pie with a dip of vanilla ice cream. You could add a couple apples for an 8 inch pie. It has plenty of spice .
