These cakes are so buttery, rich, satisfying and delicious. They heat up beautifully in the toaster oven. Try them and you will be in for a wonderful treat!

Wonderfully, almost mince meat pie.

I ordered these because they are often mentioned in the Masie Dobbs series of books, and I didn't know what they were. I found that they were very like a mince meat pie by Nonsuch, but had recently found that Nonsuch would not restock their pie filling until the next holidays in 2025. So these give me a taste during the mince meat drought. Very nice, wonderful pastry, really delightful.
